We are pleased to announce the 1st International Conference “HEAVY INDIA”, December 06, 2017, Delhi, India.
India is the industrial country with actively developing industry. According to the report of the International Monetary Fund “South Asia Economic Focus”, the rate of economic growth of the country by 2017 will reach 8%, which is a record. By 2030, the size of Indian economy will reach $6.6 trillion, which will lead the country to the third place in the list of the world’s largest economies after USA and China.
However, growth of economy is seriously restrained by infrastructural limitations. There are approximately 4.5 million kilometers of roads in the country, only half of them is with hard surface, and no more than 20% are in a good condition. In the context of international trade, the country is saved by a large number of ports. But domestic logistics is a very serious issue.According to Global competitiveness index, India takes the 85th place in the world in terms of infrastructure quality. In this respect, the Indian Government announced 30 investment projects with the cost of $33.7 billion, which provide for improvement of port and road infrastructure.
