International Conference

We are pleased to announce the 1st International Conference “HEAVY TURKEY”, September 22, 2017, Istanbul, Turkey.

Not so long ago Turkey was one of the world’s leaders in growth of economy and attraction of foreign investments, however, recently the country has been more and more sinking in economic recession. Despite the hard current situation, Turkey has all the chances to reach the stable growth of production again. According to optimistic forecasts, by 2023, in terms of GDP volume, Turkey will be among the ten of the world’s most advanced economies.

It is the state of the economy that has an impact on the market of logistic services which is reasonably well developed in Turkey. Large number of ports, developed shipping, fine motor roads make this country an excellent transit bridge between Europe and Asia. It is worth mentioning that the Turkish transport companies have an extensive experience in carrying project cargoes, and the number of such companies is rather big. This experience and geographic position allowed Turkish freight forwarders to have a strong presence in such challenging regions as Iran, Iraq, Libya, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Among the Conference topics:

  • Logistics of wind turbines: condition and prospects
  • Best practices of delivering project loads to Turkey and adjacent states
  • State regulation and control over heavy cargo transportation
